Seeking Full Time Village Administrator

The Village of Georgetown, Ohio is seeking a qualified, professional candidate for the full time position of Village Administrator.

Georgetown (pop. approx. 4,500), is a statutory form village and serves as the county seat for Brown County, Ohio. The Village Administrator is the chief administrative officer for the Village and is responsible for: managing all public utilities (water, sewer and electric), supervising the maintenance of all public places, streets, and sidewalks in the Village, working under the direction of and implementing the decisions of the Mayor and Council, overseeing the procurement of materials and services, addressing the concerns of residents and other stakeholders, supervising employees and administering employee benefits, pursuing grant and funding opportunities, economic and community development efforts, and other related duties as are provided by law or as may be assigned.

Preference will be given to candidates with a bachelor’s degree in public administration, business management, or a closely related field with a master’s degree preferred, and ten years of progressively responsible public management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Georgetown Seeking Zoning Administrator

The Village of Georgetown Seeks to fill a contract position for a zoning administrator: Duties will include zoning inspections, issuance of zoning permits, responding to complaints regarding zoning, construction documents and plan review, administration of zoning related matters, record keeping and reporting to Village Council. Candidate must have great communication skills and be able to work well with other agencies such as Clermont County Permit Central and the Brown County Building Department. Successful contractor will also be charged with the oversight of the Village rubbish and weed ordinance and all correspondence related to these functions. Salary for this position will be $500.00 per month and will carry no benefits. Georgetown Seeking Firefighters and EMS Personnel

3 – Full-time Firefighter/ EMS personnel.  Applicants must possess Ohio Firefighter II certifications and Ohio Paramedic certification, and current CPR certification.

We are also accepting applications for part-time Fire-Fighter I and 2 with EMT-B or EMT-A, or EMT-P certifications.

Full-time positions will be 24 hour shifts with 48 hours off with a 3-week Kelly day. All part-time positions will be filled based on each individual’s monthly availability.
